The Incarnation of Jesus was announced to Mary by the Angel Gabriel! This monumental moment in time marked by a herald from heaven shows the importance of the entrance of our Lord into Humanity. This single moment is celebrated today and shows the importance of the beginning of Life. When does life begin? It is answered for us in the Gospel! The Incarnation of our Lord, the Word that became Flesh, begins and it is announced that Our Lord has entered into the womb of his chosen mother Mary. She was Immaculately Conceived and prepared to be a tabernacle here on earth for our Lord! We are so moved by the attention that is given to this moment of Christ's Life in the Gospel. Elizabeth when she greets Mary recognizes Our Lord even though he is within the womb of Mary. He began small to show the importance of every stage of development of Human Embryos and indeed every stage of our lives are of utmost importance from Conception to Natural Death... It is impossible to ignore the attention given to this event in the Gospels!
